TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The invention describes a new process of pseudo-random signals generation for the high bit rate transmissions (10 Gb/s to 160 Gb/s). Using a Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) with a binary rate f1 coming from an external source, the device is providing very simply an identical sequence with a higher rate f0=1/T0. The principle is based on a recirculating loop, whose temporal length is equal to (2k+1)nT0. A resulting equipment could be realized to operate with either electrical signals or optical ones. The innovation leads to minimize high speed electronics process in the electrical data signal version and could allow to simplify integration or to reduce consumption or cost. More precisely it avoids the use of fast shift registers or of multiple mux inputs. The optical transmitter version minimizes the value and the number of optical delays. It allows to achieve true standard PRBS at very high bit rate.
