TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes a “time-stretch” algorithm based on the deletion or duplication of a sound segment (“p-slicing” method). Thanks to this algorithm, the duration of a sound can be extended or shartened at an adjustable rate of +/-20% without affecting the tone pitch.
This algorithm has been conceived and optimized to treat movie soundtracks which require +/-4 % rate.
Thus a 10 second sound can be reduced to 8 seconds or extended to 12.
