Context
The Pim family of serine/threonine protein kinases is
involved in various signaling pathways and plays key roles regulating cell
cycle progression and apoptosis. Pim kinases are overexpressed in many cancer
types and are believed to play a role in cell survival and malignant
transformation. Therefore, Pim kinases are widely considered as attractive
targets in cancer chemotherapy.
