PROCESS FOR REVERSIBLE IMMOBILIZATION OF BIOLOGICAL MACROMOLECULES
Principal Investigator: B. SEBILLE
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

This invention describes a new process of non-covalent attachment of a protein (antibody, enzyme), DNA or specific fragment on a solid substrate: slides or beads (porous or non porous). The process can be extended to any kind of ligand: antigen, polysaccharide, specific ligand (drug, hormone, inhibitor). The ligand density and reproducibility is easily controlled.
Due to the reversible character of the non-covalent binding, the process permits the release of immobilized molecules under soft conditions, allowing complete regeneration of the initial surface that can be used for new experiments.
