Production of N type diamond for use as semiconductor substitute to silicon
Principal Investigator:CHEVALLIER Jacques

The ever growing demand for electronic components has led to the search for alternatives to silicon as semiconductor material.

The electrical conductivity of common diamond films decrease with temperature. It happens even at room temperature (which is the normal temperature of use of almost all semiconductors); the component thus obtained no longer has useful semiconducting properties. Therefore, there is a need for an N type diamond having a high electrical conductivity at room temperature
