Monochloramine and hypochlorite are well known biocides that are commonly used to eliminate, inhibit or reduce microbial growth that notably causes biological fouling in circulating water. Up to now, existing processes for the synthesis of monochloramine do not provide a simple and safe way to obtain such compound.
