TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This innovation measures instant flow rate (gas as well as liquid) in real time, even when the direction of the flow is pulsating or reversing. The flowmeter includes a device that creates a low pressure drop (eg: a venturi), within the pipe, with two pressure taps connected to a differential pressure sensor. The signal provided by the sensor is used to resolve a time dependent differential equation (both analogical and numerical calculations are possible). The instantaneous flow rate is given in real time. No calibration is necessary, except possibly adjustment of the pressure sensor.
