Metallodendrimers are now a mature area of nanosciences with multiple potential applications Among them, catalysis stands as a major objective given the need to design environmentally safe processes. Indeed, dendritic catalysts are nanosized, and as such they are, as biomolecules, easily isolable from homogeneous reaction media by precipitation, filtration, ultrafiltration or ultracentrifugation.

At the same time, as part of green chemistry efforts are evaluated replacements of organic solvents to solve various environmental and heath concerns for all chemical processes. Water is one of the most widely explored green solvents.
