TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes a process to eliminate metallic ions from aqueous mediums. The ions are adsorbed on a solid support, easily extracted from the aqueous phase, including a metal from group VIII. This metal is preferably reduced, in colloidal form or supported on a solid.
When the effluent is in contact with the metallic solid, metallic ions are chemically adsorbed by creating a chemical bond between the ion to be eliminated and the supported metal.
