COMPLETE DEPOLLUTION PHOTOCATALYSD-BASED FLUID PURIFIER |

Principal investigator : Jean-Claude André

CONTEXT
Current photocatalyst-based fluid purifiers aims at oxidyzing
selected polluting agents into innocuous final products depolluting therefore
fluid (air or water for example) from these selected agents. However, these
devices characterized by their fully open reactor do not ensure complete and
safe depollution as potentially hazardous intermediates and especially volatif
organic compounds coming from the decomposition of primary polluting agents are
produced through the process and relesease outside of the so-called purifier. Also
as fluid purifiers are selective towards polluting agents, no one can be
ensured that also intermediated are completely treated in the process.
