TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Researchers have shown that the use of a weak electrical field (4-400 volts/cm) for more than 10 milliseconds at a frequency between 0.1 and 1000 hertz allows an improvement of nucleic acid transfer into striated muscles of mice, rats and other species. Positive results have been obtained with nucleic acids encoding for proteins such as VEGF, FGF, CNTF, antibodies, etc.
