TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes a novel support functionalization that is based on the formation of a reactive layer, covalently grafted on solid supports, that has covalently fixed DNA probes. This layer has found home-made-neutral-phosphorus dendrimers that contain numerous reactive functions on their periphery. The method to prepare these dendrimer-activated slides (so-called dendrislides) includes few steps and results in stable activated supports. The dendrichips have a picomolar detection limit, can be re-used, and have also applications in the detection of single base mutations.
