CONTEXT
Human parainfluenza viruses (HPIV) are respiratory pathogens responsible of upper and lower respiratory infections. Their diagnosis is routinely done using molecular and biochemical techniques based on the detection of viral antigens such as immune-fluorescence assay, PCR and/or viral isolation. The scientific team works on variant strains of these viruses and their diagnosis.
