TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This team works in a laboratory in close interaction between the academic sector and Madylam on models, simulation, and experimentation of electromagnetic technologies.
In electromagnetic continuous steel casting installations, it is important to control the liquid metal flow which arrives on the free surface through a nozzle. This invention describes a system to measure the flow of liquid metal with no contact, thanks to the impedance variation from the flow rate on the electromagnetic stirrer under the nozzle that regulates liquid metal flow.
