Measurement sensors require to be more sensibility and also to take less space in the measurement tools. There are many different types of sensors that can be used to detect magnetic fields such as fluxgate, GMI (Giant MagnetoImpedance) or GMR (Giant MagnetoResistance). This one uses a new structure of GMI sensors to be more sensible to the low frequencies of the magnetic fields in spite of the fact that it is cheaper.
