NEW APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED MICROBIAL SPREADING ON AGAR PLATES
Principal investigator : Bahram HOUCHMANDZADEH

CONTEXT

Nowadays, numerous life sciences laboratories that perform microbiological experiments use manual plating techniques, regardless of the number of plates to be inoculated. Many working hours are dedicated to this monotonous gesture and it is widely admitted that automation would be a great time- and cost-saving step. Despite this, only a few automated microbial platers are on the market trying to solve this problem, and they are often considered as expensive but not very efficient.
