TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The invention describes a new process to immobilize biological polymers as oligonucleotides or cDNA fragments on a glass slide to manufacture biochips.
The glass slide is coated with a Langmuir Blodgett film.
This new method provides a iono-covalent anchoring that is stable and homogeneous. This anchoring mode is more resistant than systems implementing hydrogen bonds or electrostatic interactions. It is applicable to oligonucleotides of any length.
