CONTEXT

Entry and progression into mitosis is controled by the activity of cyclin-dependent kinase (CDKs). During M-phase CDKs phosphorylate directly or indirectly a number of substrates that are required to orchestrate the major enzymatic and structural changes required for the progression and the completion of cell division.
