TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes 3-(amino- or aminoalkyl)pyridinone derivatives which inhibit the reverse transcriptase of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Researchers have performed tests on various cell strains and they have shown that these compounds inhibit HIV production and the activity of reverse transcriptase .
The process for the preparation of these compounds is also described.
