TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes VE-statin, a novel protein specifically expressed by endothelial cells, both in vivo and in vitro. VE-statin has no clear homology with any other protein and is a secreted factor which acts as an inhibitor of smooth muscle cell migration but has no effects on proliferation.
