TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention describes the synthesis and the use of modified maltosyle fluorides to lengthen oligo- and polysaccharides through a controlled process. These fluorides are used to give up glycosyl groups in enzymatic reactions to prepare oligo- and polysaccharides. a-Maltosyl fluorides are used as glycosyl donors in transglycosylation reactions catalysed by transglycosylases.
