TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
One of the main problems in tissue engineering is to avoid the formation of abnormal tissue, showing physical and / or chemical properties incompatible with expected use. This abnormal tissue formation depends on divers parameters, including the level of collagens and elastin reticulation, which are lysyl oxydase (LO) related. Researchers have developed a method using LO inhibitors to improve the production of human cartilage and skin in vitro.
