CO2 capture by nano solvent
Principal Investigator: MIACHON, Sylvain

CONTEXT

Carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by fossil fuels burning for the energy production or transport is considered as one of the main factors of the climate change. For years, it's sought to separate the CO2 of the other gases generated during the combustion in order to store or reprocess it and to prevent the greenhouse effect.  Technology like solubilisation in amine (MEA)  shows a good efficiency but lacks of its bad energy ration (consumption is roughly 4GJ /t CO2)
