CONTEXT
The different processes that are currently used nowadays to recycle rubber waste are known to be expensive, constraining (indeed, it usually requires high pressure and temperature) and not environmentally friendly. Due their negative aspects, industrial needs for rubber waste recycling are therefore not fully fulfilled.
Among these widely used processes, by providing a complementary source of fuel, incineration is one the most used techniques. Other methods involve mechanical or chemical transformations and as a final outcome the re-use of recycled rubber or the use of products coming from the transformation of the rubber. Nevertheless, none of these methods fully presents satisfaction.
In the present work, the research team set up a non expensive, environmentally friendly, non constraining chemical process to recycle rubber waste leading to products that can be directly used and whose structure can be well controlled
