USE OF ELECTRIC PULSES TO INTRODUCE ANTICANCER AGENTS INTO CANCER CELLS

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

This invention describes the use of electric impulses to increase the permeability of cancerous cell walls, and, more specifically to facilitate the penetration and increase the concentration of anticancer drugs in the cancer cell cytosol.
Tests have been performed in various superficial human tumors and results show that electrochemotherapy could improve cancer treatments by reducing the size of tumors.
