NANOPARTICULES AS A BLOOD SUBSTITUTE
Principal investigator : VAUTHIER Christine

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The invention describes new nanoparticules made of normal or modified hemoprotein associated with a copolymer composed of:

- a biodegradable and non-toxic hydrophobic segment.

The physical properties of polysaccharide chains allow the particle to pass unrecognized by the immune system.  A judicious  choice of  chain type could allow a certain biomimetic or additional biological function.
