TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
This invention concerns the identification of a new protein in human plasma. This protein is a member of phosphate binding protein family that exists in some prokaryotic organisms. The inventors have crystallized this protein, solved the 3D structure and showed its affinity to phosphate molecules. The inventors showed that this protein is an apoprotein associated to High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) complex.
